Georgia couple lose custody of their son for giving him medicinal cannabis

A Georgia couple have been charged with reckless conduct after they turned to cannabis flower to help their son.

After treating their son with many other prescription medications, including cannabis oil,  Suzeanna and Matthew Brill had to resort to pure cannabis.

Their son suffers from constant seizures. Since using the substance the child has been seizure free for 71 days.

The parents said they are not ashamed of their actions. They were trying to help their son.

“We openly admitted to them in front of Twiggs Couty Sheriff’s deputies. I smoke it first. I know where it comes from, I know my people.”

Child Services now has custody of the child.
