Christian “Nigerian Nightmare” Okoye, an NFL legend and former fullback for the Kansas City Chiefs, is now a spokesperson for a subsidiary belonging to Medical Marijuana, Inc. (OTC: MJNA), the first-ever publicly traded company in the United States.

Medical Marijuana said on Wednesday that the NFL legend Okoye is now a spokesperson for Kannaway®, considered to be the first hemp lifestyle network to legally offer hemp-based botanical CBD wellness products.

The former player, who uses CBD himself, was chosen by the company to help raise awareness on the therapeutic benefits of the soothing component found in marijuana or hemp, cannabidiol or CBD, for athletes and others, who are looking to lead a healthy, active lifestyle.

“We’re thrilled to work with Mr. Okoye and to continue the conversation about the benefits that athletes like him are experiencing from using CBD,” said Kannaway CEO Blake Schroeder.

“His personal story is a perfect example of how CBD not only can improve a person’s life, but also enable them to continue living the active lifestyles they have grown accustomed to.”

The company said in March it had the largest-ever – unaudited – sales revenue month in its history, growing nearly 40 times in revenue since 2016.
