Canada’s Cannabis Demand Expected to Reach 1 Million Kilograms Per Year

Health Canada has predicted that cannabis demand will reach 1 million kilograms per year by the end of 2018 as a nationwide legalization of recreational marijuana looms.

So far, the current supply is at 300,000 kg, creating a deficit of 700,000 kg.

Analysts expect to run out of stock as legalization draws closer.

Large companies are already planning to fill the gaps in production as they open up new cannabis production facilities.

The $8 billion cannabis industry is expected to continuously grow as legalization inches closer.
