Massachusetts — Two men were arrested for the illegal manufacturing and cultivation of cannabis.
Firefighters smothered flames at a house in Tewksbury, a town in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, leading to the finding of a cannabis operation. Both Minh Phan and Thao Nguyen were arrested but were later released on bail.
The bail was set at $5,000 for Phan and $400 for Nguyen. Both accused are scheduled to return to court on July 27.
The so-called “sophisticated” cannabis production was found in the basement of the house. Police also found heat lamps and an irrigation system in the basement.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and it left no one injured.
Meanwhile, after acquiring a search warrant, detectives uncovered more than 180 cannabis plants.[share-btn]
