Man, Who ‘Febrezed’ 27kg of Marijuana in His Bag, Arrested at US Airport

A man used Febreze to reduce the stench coming from his bag carrying 27.2 kilograms (60 pounds) of marijuana.

But spraying Febreze didn’t help. Jose Medina Ayala, 23, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana. He was caught with nearly 27.2 kilograms of marijuana at Nashville International Airport for a layover.

The marijuana was discovered in 51 vacuum-sealed bags in his two pieces of luggage, each bag weighed approximately 1.20 pounds.

The luggage was searched by the Nashville Airport police and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).

Ayala, who claims he is a former worker of a tree-trimming service, was also found with $2,870 in cash.

He is now being held on $100,000 bond.
