“Breaking Habits” is being promoted in Cannes, France.

The documentary, scheduled to be released later this year, documents the lives of the Sisters of the Valley, who run their own a marijuana farm in Merced, California.

Their products are used for medicinal purposes. Their tinctures and salves are all sold online.

Their story starts when they have to face a threat coming from California’s state Bureau of Medical Cannabis Regulation over their business.  On top of that, the nuns also received threats from local drug cartels.

The documentary, filmed last year, is focused mainly on Sister Kate, who decided to open a marijuana business after leaving the corporate world.
