Power forward player, Kenneth Bernard Faried Lewis, Brooklyn Nets Player arrested for Marijuana Possession
The recently traded 29-year-old was arrested and charged on Sunday morning for marijuana possession.
Faried, who was traded from the Denver Nuggets, was the rear passenger in the vehicle that was pulled over during a sobriety checkpoint.
It has been confirmed by NetsDaily’s Anthony Puccio that The Nets are aware of the arrest.
Faried, along with his teammate Darrell Arthur, was traded to the Nets last month in a salary dump with the Nuggets.
Faried is currently owed $13.7 million.
27east reporter Valerie Gordon was told by the Southampton Town Police that Faried was arrested on Montauk Highway at 1:30 am. He was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor.
At this time law enforcement is unable to confirm how much money was seized from the vehicle or the reason for the money confiscation.
Gordon reported that Faried was released on $500 bail.
