Newfoundland Labrador Liquor Corporation Has a New Supplier

Newfoundland and Labrador Liquor Corporation has Selected a New Authorized Cannabis Supplier, Emerald Health Therapeutics

Emerald Health Therapeutics, which is based in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, is a Health Canada Licensed Producer of medical cannabis. LPs are licensed under Canada’s Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations to produce and sells dried cannabis and cannabis oil and extracts for medical purposes.

The company has succeeded in integrating, seed-to-sale production, combining decades of experience in pharmaceutical innovation with large-scale agriculture expertise.

Emerald’s CEO Chris Wagner stated in a news release that this represents the third provincial agreement for the company.

“We’re proud to work with the NLC as a preferred licensed producer to serve Newfoundland and Labrador in the upcoming legal cannabis market. “This represents the third provincial agreement for our team and we expect to share additional supply updates in the future.”

Before their agreement with the Newfoundland and Labrador Liquor Corporation, Emerald Health Therapeutics previously announced their supply agreements with British Columbia and Ontario.

The provinces of Canada are freed to decide which licensed producers will supply them come October. Each has signed multiple supply deals with different LPs.

The Company’s Market Strategy Come Legalization

The company is preparing for the adult use market, focusing on product innovation that will allow them to produce a high-profit margin.

They have changed their marketing strategy and ensured that they have enough supply of high quality, low-cost cannabis. Meeting demand for the recreational market will be one of the most difficult tasks come October.

The well-established company has 50 percent ownership of Pure Sunfarms, a company that is in the process of renovating over one million square foot greenhouse in Delta British Columbia.

The company’s expansion is nationwide. Quebec based, Agro-Biotech, a licensed cannabis growing company, has a 75,000-square-foot indoor facility and is planning to add a 500,000-square-foot greenhouse in Vancouver currently owned by Emerald Health Therapeutics.

Emerald is linked to Emerald Health group, which mainly focuses on developing pharmaceutical, botanical, and nutraceutical products that may provide wellness and medical benefits by interacting with the human body’s system.

Recent scientific studies have testified to the benefit of medical cannabis and Emerald Health Therapeutics is at the cutting edge of this. Conditions as diverse as depression, anxiety, cancer, traumatic brain injuries, and epilepsy, can all be effectively treated using cannabis and cannabis extracts. The medicinal market promises to be a booming global sector post-legalization.
