Ex-NFL player “The Nigerian Nightmare” says CBD freed him from opioids

Christian Okoye, better known as The Nigerian Nightmare, says that marijuana has freed him from using opioids.

After retiring from the NFL in 2002, Okoye suffered from pain that even made jogging an issue, TMZ reported.

The ex-NFL star explains that Cannabidiol (CBD), the non-psychoactive component in marijuana, has offered him a big relief.

Now, he is nearly pain-free.

He is fully promoting CBD treatment, especially to past and present NFL players.

“I think it’s a way for players to help themselves be pain free.”

Sadly, cannabis is still on the list of restricted drugs in the NFL, but many are speaking out against prohibition.

Recently, Okoye has signed a contract to be a spokesman for a cannabis company by the name of Kannaway.
