Thief Mistakes House Plant for Weed Plant

A man in Allentown, Pennsylvania is facing up to 15 years in prison after he mistakenly stole a house plant he thought was a weed plant. This error may have him go down as one of the stupidest criminals to ever exist.

The story only gets crazier from there.21-year-old Maico J. Rosado Jr. broke into the Jabber Jaws Bar & Grille on March 21st. What he wasn’t counting on is the fact that the owner lived in the basement of the establishment. After hearing a window break, the owner rushed upstairs and found himself face to face with Rosado.

Both armed, the two were able to come to an agreement that neither would fire on the condition that Rosado left. Due to this, Rosado agreed to leave and left the crime scene with his bounty: A collectible 1 dollar bill. From here, things continue to get even more outlandish.

Rosado Steals a House Plant He Mistook for a Weed Plant, Faces 15 Years

Rosado, presumedly not happy with his 1 dollar haul, proceeded to rob a local home. He accomplished this by firing a shot into a window. Rosado then went on to steal a house plant he mistakenly identified as a weed plant.

Afterward, he continued his questionable crime spree by pulling a gun on a woman and stealing her purse. Soon after he was identified by police and taken into custody.

To top everything off, the gun he was using was also stolen.
