US Medical Marijuana distributes first-ever hops-derived CBD product

Medical Marijuana, Inc. (OTC: MJNA), the first-ever publicly traded cannabis company in the United States, said Tuesday that it has distributed the first hops-derived CBD product called ImmunAg™.

Medical Marijuana, Inc., the exclusive distributor of ImmunAG,™ will have its new hopes-derived CBD product sold as Real Scientific Humulus Oil (RSHO-K) by its the company’s subsidiary, HempMeds®.

Medical Marijuana launched its product in partnership with the California-based Peak Health.  ImmunAG™ is made from an extract of the Kriya brand Humulus plant, which is a variety of hops.

Like hemp, which is considered to be marijuana’s cousin, hops’ Humulus extract has a high concentration of the calming the soothing component of CBD.

CBD is found in hemp and cannabis. However, unlike CBD products derived from cannabis or even hemp, ImmunAg™ has none of the psychoactive component called THC.

Director of Peak Health Dr. Bomi Joseph said the new medical product will give people the chance to treat themselves with CBD without consuming cannabis products especially in places where it is illegal.

“The company has established significant global reach and together we can reach even more people who want to try CBD but don’t want to consume cannabis products,” he said. “We can reach even more people who want to try CBD but don’t want to consume cannabis products.”

He added: “There are many places in the world that do not allow cannabis.”

The news comes after the FDA approved on Monday the first cannabis-derived medication called Epidiolex to treat epilepsy.
